iCLASS Contactless Smart Credentials are read/write, provide higher security and have optional memory sizes. Designed by HID for use with iCLASS Readers, they can be used to integrate other technologies developed by various Application Partners. Applications include Biometrics, Time and Attendance, Digital Cash and Vending, HVAC Automation and Billing, IT Secure Authentication, Guard Tour, Parking, and Medical or Service Record Storage.

Using 13.56 MHz contactless smart card technology, the bioCLASS products provide users with new
options for supporting multi-authentication of identity. Combine a contactless card presentation with
a fingerprint biometric. Or, use a personal identification number (PIN) number along with a
contactless card presentation..

iCLASS Contactless Smart Card Readers are compatible with existing access control systems, provide a standard Wiegand output and establish higher security in the transmission of information from an iCLASS credential than is provided by 125kHz Prox.
