Freeform R & D was founded by Steve Wheeler in 1972 and moved to its current location at Newport Beach, California in 1975. Three years later, Freeform started manufacturing its first line of extended length flexible drill bits. The success of the product led to the production of a complete line of high speed steel, carbon steel auger and high speed steel bell hanger drill bits. Today, Freeform produces a complete line of drill bits to assist in alarm installations.
